Peptide Reconstitution (with Bacteriostatic Water)
What you need:
• Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptide vial
• Bacteriostatic Water (0.9% benzyl alcohol)
• Alcohol swabs, sterile syringe & needle
• Labels + fine marker
Step-by-step:
*Prep & sanitize - Wash hands, wipe vial stoppers with alcohol, let dry.
*Plan your concentration - Choose how much bacteriostatic water (BW) to add based on the dose you want per “insulin unit.” (Quick math: 1 mL = 100 units on an insulin syringe.)
*Draw the BW - Pull back air equal to the BW you’ll draw (optional for ease), inject air into BW vial, then draw the exact mL you planned.
*Inject along the glass - Insert the needle into the peptide vial and aim the stream down the inner wall, not directly onto the powder.
*Dissolve gently - Do not shake. Roll or slowly swirl the vial until the powder fully dissolves.
*Label & store - Write: Peptide name, total mg, total mL, concentration (mg/mL or mcg/unit), date mixed.
*Store refrigerated (typically 2–8 °C / 36–46 °F). Avoid light and repeated temperature swings.
